At the age of fourteen, Melisa began practicing the art of makeup on herself and her friends. She invested time refining her growing talent by emulating the styles, tricks, and tips she read about in popular beauty magazines.

The more she used makeup as a tool to enhance the natural beauty of herself and others, the more her passion and talent grew. But Melisa never dreamed that one day her very own makeup company would be born and take on a life of its own.

After graduating from high school, Melisa pushed aside her hobby as a makeup artist as she sought a career that would bring about financial stability. After pursuing a college degree and finding herself in a corporate underwriting position, her financial needs were met, but something was lacking: passion.

The rise of Instagram changed the course of Melisa's journey. As Melisa would do her own makeup and post pictures to her Instagram account, compliments and requests started pouring in for Melisa to do makeup for others. She once again fell in love with the intricate designs and transformations possible through makeup. As popularity grew, MeMaCreations was born.

Melisa is a self-taught makeup artist from Brooklyn who specializes in providing individual makeup, bridal makeup, editorial makeup, and TV and film makeup. She offers group instructional makeup classes and one on one makeup lessons.

Whatever your makeup needs are, Melisa is skilled in creating your vision. She has over ten years of experience delivering personalized and professional makeup transformations. Her awakening moment finally resonated when her work was published in the same magazines she read as a teenager. Her passion became her purpose and she is living her dreams.
